Saab makes a nice contribution to the SUV market with their 2006 Saab 9-7X. With its rounded finish, and sleek package, it draws you into taking a closer look into this truck-based SUV from Saab.

The 2006 Saab 9-7X is Saab’s first SUV offering, and a good one at that. The 9-7X is fitted with a V-6 4.2 liter engine that can produce 290 horsepower. There is also a 5.3 liter 300 horsepower V-8 engine option for the first time from Saab for those who like more power.

The Saab 9-7X SUV is drawn up with sheet metal as well as interior trims that come with characteristic Saab poignancy and marks. Safety features include ABS, rollover sensing, child seats, and six airbags. The 9-7X is quite a tall, elegant looking SUV that is great to drive around the countryside for sporty fun!

2005 Saab 9-7X

Following into the Sports Utility Vehicle segment a little late, Saab has decided to introduce the 2006 Saab 9-7X for the luxury SUV segment.

Structurally based on the Chevrolet Trailblazer and the GMC Envoy, the 2006 Saab 9-7X enjoys the synergy from both stables, each of whom is owned by General Motors.

The 2006 Saab 9-7X is available with 18” tires, and two engine variants – an improved V-6 engine for the standard, and the more powerful 5.3 liter V-8 engine that powers the premium model.

The premium model also comes fitted with GM’s electronic stability system, Displacement on Demand Technology, and leather-trimmed heated front seats. Interiors are impressive, with an XM Satellite Radio, Automatic Climate Control, and GM’s On Star communication system as part of standard equipment.

The trunk is quite spacious and can hold around 39.8 cubic feet, and becomes much more spacious when the rear seat is folded. The car is behaves well on rough roads, and can take different terrains well.
